This is the last and final stage of the elephant life cycle series, a women’s conscience is the crone. This stage entails Characteristics of wisdom, repose, and compassion. This last elephant print represents the stage by solemnly painting its face in a detailed portrait. There is a noticeably eye catching difference within the eyes due to mark making and color pallet variance. To yield emphasize in the eyes, a notion as the opening to ones soul, where a crone is filled with insight and compassion for others within. Also, a fixation and extremely detailed accentuate in the elephants wrinkles. This to highlight the tribulations and ware a crone has experienced through a lifetime. Trembling my hand to make some of these expressive strokes allowed me to feel the sense of age and closer to the wise crone. Presented in peaceful water and a soft sunrise, her environment is the only serene place she deserves to be. The water also blue, matching her eyes and contrasting to the rest of the colors in the print I created an emphasis in the peaceful aspect of ones soul.
